Alps

The Alps of the Lake Geneva Region are a prime destination for skiing and hiking fans. The region’s inhabitants cultivate their terroir and care for their heritage, thus providing an added value to sports activities.

The ski regions in the Alps of the Lake Geneva Region, at an altitude between 1,000 and 2,500 metres, abound with forest slopes, panoramic peaks and vantage points over Lake Geneva. They offer gentle slopes for beginners and families at special rates. Some Nordic skiing and snow shoeing tracks let you discover silence and solitude on ice.

These itineraries also provide summer hiking possibilities: unforgettable walks with a picnic break or a meal prepared in an Alpine chalet.

The Alps of the Lake Geneva Region are the home of authentic villages with their wooden chalets and varied sports infrastructure.

The huge pastures in the Alps of the Lake Geneva Region produce the milk used to produce hard cheeses, namely Etivaz AOC. The flora of these pastures delight botanists, whose gardens are open to the public.
