Countryside in the Lake Geneva Region, soft tourism

The gently sloping countryside of the Lake Geneva Region offers varied historical heritage and cultivates an art of living to be discovered through agritourism or terroir products.

The countryside of the Lake Geneva Region boasts undulating fields planted with colza and wheat on flat and hilly reliefs at altitudes of 400 to 800 m. Many tree-lined brooks cross the territory that has been inhabited since prehistoric times. The countryside entices you to discover its Roman vestiges, its Romanesque churches, its medieval hamlets and its characteristic castles.

The countryside of the Lake Geneva Region can be explored on foot or on bike. Discovery made easy thanks to countless marked and didactic itineraries.

Large farms have developed rural tourism where participation in farm activities is welcomed. Tasty terroir products – bread, meat, cheese, fruit and vegetables – inspire some of the world’s best chefs and give rise to festivals every year.
