Yvonand, sweet Mediterranean clime

Although the beaches of Yvonand on Lake Neuchâtel are freshwater shores, they recall the Mediterranean coasts: fine sand, soft slopes, pine forests. Nature and Bach flowers can be discovered on shaded paths.

Lined by willow and pine trees, Yvonand’s sandy and gently sloping beaches are ideally suited for tourists in search of natural surroundings. The wild shore of Upper Lake Neuchâtel invites visitors to relax or to swim. The campsite provides the ideal accommodation for holidaymakers.

Nature reserves – on the lakeside and in the forests – and the countryside are linked by hiking trails, some of which are based on a theme. The Bach Flowers path shows the 38 flowers, either wild growing or cultivated in Yvonand. The rubbish-sorting path and the frog path provide more stimulating and recreational walks.

The Gutenberg exhibit in Yvonand focuses on ancient typographical and lithographical techniques. Visitors are allowed to touch these authentic machines of the 19th century that are still in working condition.

Yvonand is located 10 minutes from Yverdon-les-Bains.
